VHC, INC. NAMES REBECCA HURST ALSTON TO NEW ROLE AS NATIONAL ACCOUNT SALES MANAGER

Kirbyville, Mo. – VHC, Inc. has named Rebecca Hurst Alston to a newly created position as National Account Sales Manager. Alston will be responsible for reaching out to specialized mid-tier and larger buyers as the company improves its profile across three major product areas: bedding, table linens/kitchen/window/rugs and handbags/accessories.

Alston has more than 18 years of unique executive-level experience with specialty, mid-tier and large national department stores, with positions in retail management, buying, merchandising and sales. She was involved in the design and development of licensed products for Emeril Lagasse, Casa Cristina, Corsica Home, Food Network, Liz Claiborne, and Waterford as well as other brands.

Prior to joining VHC, Inc., Alston served as National Accounts Sales Manager at WC Designs, a division of Waterford/Wedgwood.  In this role, her responsibilities included developing major department store table linens, kitchen textiles and bedding businesses, focusing on private label and licensed programs.

BELLA TAYLOR HANDBAG COLLECTION EXCEEDS 100,000 SHIPPED UNITS TO INDEPENDENT RETAILERS IN 2011

Strong Bella Taylor growth attributed to independent retailer support. Brand awareness, mix of price points, heavy launch cycle also factors.

 

Kirbyville, Mo. – More than 100,000 Bella Taylor handbags, wallets, purses and travel bags have been shipped to independent retailers in 2011, according to VHC, Inc.  The number was exceeded on September 12th, and does not include sales to mass retailers.  This represents a significant increase over the prior year, due to the timing of achieving this milestone number very early in the traditionally heavier fall/holiday selling season, according to the company.

“Our first acknowledgement has to go to the many independent retailers who have supported us to reach this number of shipped units,” stated VHC, Inc. CEO and Co-Owner Ken Kline.  “So first,” he continued, “let me say Thank You, and second, get ready – we’re just getting started.”  According to the company, this number was exceeded in 2010, but only by the end of the year, and it included some mass retail.

VHC, INC. LAUNCHES BELLA TAYLOR HANDBAG BRAND

Textile design and import house Victorian Heart Company, Inc. (VHC, Inc.) has launched Bella Taylor by VHC, Inc., a complete quilted and patchwork handbag collection for independent retailers.

The Bella Taylor brand, featuring more than 25 color themes and over 400 individual handbags, will be formerly launched at the company’s exclusive handbag showroom during the Atlanta show in January, and via an exclusive catalog.

Price points for the handbags range from $9.99 to $99.99 retail, with heavy emphasis on purses and everyday-use sizes in the $39 to $49 category.
